To measure your head take a tape measure in one hand and your head in the other. Gently wrap the tap measure around your head (this is the most dangerous part of the exercise, so please be very careful, and NEVER use a metal retractable measure, we've lost many a customer this way!). Once you are happy that the measure sits over the widest part of your forehead and reaches all the way round to the back (many people measure only half their head "Duh!"), ask a friend, wife, significant other, passer by, to tell you how big your head is. If there is nobody to do this for you, put a thumb and finger over where the two ends meet and very gently remove the tape from around your head (again, with caution!) and have a look.
The handy chart below will give you all possible ramifications from around the world. If you head falls between two measurements (which is most unusual!) then choose the larger sizing for comfort. A tight hat is a headache waiting to happen, literally! If you're not on the scale, move along, we can't help you, and few will be able to.
